On September 26-27th Hurricane Helene hit our hometown in Western North Carolina with high winds and historic rainfalls, causing loss of life, property, power outages, school closings, mudslides, damage to roads, and more. The High Country responded in the only way we know how - meeting the moment and helping our neighbors. These are the stories of a community ravaged by disaster who rallied together in a time of unprecedented diaster.

#WataugaStrong - It’s not just a saying, it’s a lifestyle in the wake of the hurricane.
